Geert Wilders Demands Explanation From House of Parliament Why Dutch Government is Funding Ground Zero Mega Mosque
One of my readers in the Netherlands filled me in on where some of the financing came from that the terror-tied Imam Rauf used to buy an historic landmark and demolish it to build an Islamic supremacist mega mosque at Ground Zero: the Christian Democrat party in Holland.
I am sure that I can say that on behalf of the 3,75 million voters in the Netherlands for PVV (The centre-right political party from Geert Wilders) I offer you and your friends an apologies for our present christian (CDA) government. This because they granted a million Euro ( US $ 1.290.000 ) to the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA) from imam Faisal Abdur Rauf who intends to build a mosque next to the grounds of the 9/11 massacre the killed over 3000 innocent people. Don’t ask me why.
Geert Wilders himself demanded today in our House of Parliament from our CDA Minister of Foreign affairs:
“Do you acknowledge that it is absurd -just at Ground Zero- to build a mosque, and that this is also an insult to (the next of kin of) the victims of 9-11? If not, why not?
So the Netherlands are aware of these building plans. But we don’t understand how the US-(local) government can be so ignorant about the symbolic value for muslims to build an other house of worship to Alla, right there in front of this specific location.
Many of us are also aware of the many moslim ‘enclaves’ that already exist in the USA and we admire your personal efforts to stop Ground Zero to become one too.
only a fool could be blind to the planting of a mosque at ground zero being a victory flag for muslims commemorating thier triumphal murder of 3000 infidels.
unfortunatly most liberals are fools thats why thier policies constantly chip away at america, its prosperity its ideals ,its exceptionalism, and its security
not only do liberals consider themselves unpatriotic as evidenced by recent polls asking them that very question but so do I.
so when I here a lib say something is unamerican I want to puke.
your version of patriotism is to burn america to the ground and destroy it to the core. giving 5th column support to every enemy of america that has ever come down the pike.
witness the witless the cowards and the enablers of evil as they try to silence the brave:
In an extraordinary act of censorship, Facebook pulled Governor Sarah Palin’s post on the callousness of a Ground Zero mega mosque.
The subversives, jihadists, and leftists have our entire culture in a chokehold. Imagine getting Governor Palin’s Facebook note on the Ground Zero Mosque pulled as “Hate Speech.”
Truth is the new hate speech
Stacey wrote me:
“She re-posted it but this is an outrage… Facebook continues to do nothing when death threats are posted against her. Plus, there is still a FB group that wants to “Plug the hole in the Gulf with Sarah Palin”… You can imagine what the comments look like. We’ve complained for months but Facebook has never lifted a finger.”
Facebook has banned my colleague and brave fighter, Anders Gravers of SIOE. And yet fatwas against Rifqa Bary and Death to the Jews pages stay up for months. We are entering a dark age, and every one of us must get up, stand up and fight. The time is now.
(BUFFALO, NY) – Buffalo Developer and lawyer Carl Paladino said today that he would use the powers of eminent domain to stop a mosque from being constructed near the Ground Zero site in New York City.
“As Governor I will use the power of eminent domain to stop this mosque and make the site a war memorial instead of a monument to those who attacked our country,” Paladino said in a thirty second radio spot playing statewide beginning Wednesday evening.
A successful lawyer and developer who built and manages a half billion dollar commercial real estate portfolio, Paladino scoffed at critics who claim federal law prohibits his strategy to stop the Islamic mosque. “I’ve been driving land-use issues for 40 years, and I understand the full powers of the governor,” he said. “If the ACLU or anyone else wants to challenge me in court, I’m ready for the fight.”
“Andrew Cuomo supports the mosque,” Paladino said. “He says it is about religious freedom and he says the mosque construction should proceed. I say it is disrespectful to the thousands who died on 9-11 and their families, insulting to the thousands of troops who’ve been killed or injured in the ensuing wars and an affront to American people. And it must be stopped.”
“There is little to no democracy in the Middle East other than Israel. The Islamic fundamentalists are Fascists – women have limited rights, there is no free speech or freedom of expression, and citizens are subject to the often barbaric Sharia Law. I oppose a mosque near the site of Ground Zero, not because of race, but because of the ideology of the Islamic fundamentalists,” said Paladino.
Paladino, a Republican candidate for Governor of New York, kicked off an advertising campaign to rally statewide opposition to the proposed Islamic mosque at Ground Zero in New York City and called out Democrat candidate Andrew Cuomo for backing the divisive mosque.
Earlier today, Mayor Bloomberg responded to my comments about the planned mosque at Ground Zero by suggesting that a decision not to allow the building of a mosque at that sacred place would somehow violate American principles of tolerance and openness.
No one is disputing that America stands for – and should stand for – religious tolerance. It is a foundation of our republic. This is not an issue of religious tolerance but of common moral sense. To build a mosque at Ground Zero is a stab in the heart of the families of the innocent victims of those horrific attacks. Just days after 9/11, the spiritual leader of the organization that wants to build the mosque, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, suggested that blame be placed on the innocents when he stated that the “United States’ policies were an accessory to the crime that happened” and that “in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA.” Rauf refuses to recognize that Hamas is a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of our ally, Israel, and refuses to provide information about the sources of funding for the $100 million mosque. Rauf also plays a key role in a group behind the flotilla designed to provoke Israel in its justifiable blockade of Gaza. These are just a few of the points Americans are realizing as New York considers the proposed mosque just a stone’s throw away from 9/11’s sacred ground.
I agree with the sister of one of the 9/11 victims (and a New York resident) who said: “This is a place which is 600 feet from where almost 3,000 people were torn to pieces by Islamic extremists. I think that it is incredibly insensitive and audacious really for them to build a mosque, not only on that site, but to do it specifically so that they could be in proximity to where that atrocity happened.”
Many Americans, myself included, feel it would be an intolerable and tragic mistake to allow such a project sponsored by such an individual to go forward on such hallowed ground. This is nothing close to “religious intolerance,” it’s just common decency.

Here are some questions that need answers:
1) Is Rauf’s summer trip abroad doubling as a fundraising tour? If it is, and if he is serious about his professed aim of healing American wounds, then surely he shouldn’t mind disclosing where exactly he’s spending time, whom he’s meeting with, and what he’s promising as the selling points of his Cordoba House next to where the Twin Towers stood. His proposal to the Manhattan community board was approved in May on grounds that his Islamic Center will include “a 500-seat performing arts center & lecture hall, culinary school, exhibition space, swimming pool, fitness gym, basketball court, restaurant, library, art studios and childcare.” Rauf has said in interviews that it will also include a prayer space. One can view that as an Islamic center with a mosque included, or a mosque with a large community center attached. Either way, if Rauf is raising money for this abroad, what’s he promising that might persuade foreign donors to lavish millions on such a facility in lower Manhattan? Who’s he pitching to? And before he becomes available again in Manhattan, where might his travels over the next month take him?
2) How much money has Rauf actually raised? This is deeply unclear. Some statements emanating from the Cordoba Initiative imply the fundraising has yet to seriously begin; some circumstances suggest it has already begun. What’s the real state of play? How much pressure has Rauf put himself under to produce that $100 million to build the center? And that’s just for capital investment. What about operating costs? Rauf told the Manhattan community board that his Cordoba House would create 150 full-time and more than 500 part-time jobs. Where and from whom will that money flow?
3) If Rauf is now seeking funding abroad, is his provocative choice of a site just down the block from Ground Zero now helping bring money into his coffers? In other words, is any of his fundraising getting a boost from the high-profile debate and distress generated by his plans? One would hope that Rauf picked the site with the best of intentions. But on the chance that the choice amounts in any way to a cynical fundraising stunt, or even a dangerous appeal to potential donors who have lots of money but no love lost for America, full and regular public disclosure of his backers, prospects, plans and financial books would surely help clarify the situation.
