Sometimes, a White House press conference can be a chance for a president to take some weight off his shoulders … but weight off his fingers?
Eagle-eyed reporters noticed that President Barack Obama wasn’t sporting his wedding ring during Friday’s White House press conference.
“big to-do over potus not wearing his wedding ring today,” Tweeted The Hill’s Sam Youngman, who was at the presser.
Obama’s wedding band is “an intricate gold design from Indonesia, where he had lived as a boy,” the New York Times reported in 2009.

In a press conference last week Obama was not wearing his wedding ring nor was he wearing his watch. When noticed, his staff said his ring was out for repairs. No reason was given for the missing watch. So it’s just a coincidence that Muslims are forbidden from wearing jewelry during the month of Ramadan Can’t possibly be that, because although he hasn’t gone to a Christian church service since entering the White House, we know he’s a committed Christian “cause he said so during his campaign!” ………..And I’ve got a bridge to nowhere to sell you also. This is the same president that spent the Christmas holidays in Hawaii to avoid religious obligations as PRESIDENT at the White House. His children do not receive Christmas presents. Let’s just face the facts and quit trying to distort the truth, we have a Muslim for president in the White House, and he has no knowledge of American history. Ramadan began Monday, August 01, 2011 and ends Tuesday, August 30, 2011. keep an eye out for the ring reappearance after ramadan…..

Fascinating! Again, have not read this anywhere else. But … he has gone to a couple of Christian churches since living big in the White House. Gonna look at pictures of him now vacationing to see if they’re off in those too?

so aparently the slight of hand you and snopes are working to mislead doesnt hold water. so he’s got a watch on so what I found multiple answers on the subject and it all plays out the same gold rings and such are prohibited during ramadan all other jewelry is fine.
